Born and raised in a lower middle class family in an Indo –Nepal border town in the far western part of Nepal, Saman loved doing community work, particularly helping the people in need. Saman has been involved in social community and/or humanitarian work since his high school days, for example joining the junior Red Cross circle, establishing social clubs for environment protection, organizing fundraising programs for flood victims of his region. His passion for community work led him to join non-government organizational work immediately after completing his Masters degree at Tribhuwan University. Saman is a very affectionate and passionate person, who likes to dedicate his life to helping people in need. Community and humanitarian work has become even more important to Saman after the massive devastation caused by a multitude of earthquakes in Nepal. As a program officer at Smile for Hope, he hopes to fulfill his dream of helping the community affected by natural disasters like this recent earthquake. He wishes to put a smile in the face of those people and to help them develop hope for their future.
