The Nepal earthquake with magnitude 7.5 on April 25, 2015 has left tremendous scars both physically and psychologically. Aftershocks continued for months shaking all foundations of human existence. Many children were orphaned and a general fear of being indoors has become common among everybody. “Smile for Hope” has therefore started am Art Therapy Project, first held on September 12, 2015 at Martyrs’ Memorial Higher Secondary Boarding School in Gyaneshor, Kathmandu. The first of many more to come.
A second Art Therapy Programme was conducted on December 4, 2015 at Martyrs’ Memorial Higher Secondary School Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu reaching 58 children.
